My Story

Jasmeet Kaur, a 5-year-old in kindergarten, lives with her father, a daily laborer earning $5-$6 per day, and her homemaker mother. She shares her home with her sibling, grandparents, and uncle. Sadly, her mother suffers from arthritis. Her father took a $4500 loan for her mother's treatment, which he is still repaying. Jasmeet's favorite snack is mangoes, and she enjoys studying. Her most cherished person is her mother, and if given the chance, she'd love to attend school. Her favorite color is pink.
